Project Worker Under 18's Residential Service South and North Dublin Full time Permanent Salary €39,227.56 to €42,615.80 Role Summary We are recruiting Project Workers / Social Care Support Workers to support children and young people under 18 in a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment. The role involves building positive relationships, supporting daily living and education, promoting wellbeing, and contributing to care planning in line with best practice and relevant standards. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day care and support to young people in line with their individual care plans. Promote a safe, nurturing, structured environment that supports development and wellbeing. Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to build trust and support regulation. Support routines including meals, hygiene, school attendance, appointments, recreation, and community activities. Record and report accurately: daily logs, incident reports, shift handovers, and keywork notes. Assist with behaviour support plans, positive risk management, and de-escalation strategies. Work collaboratively with families (where appropriate), social workers, educators, clinicians, and external agencies. Participate in team meetings, supervision, training, audits, and service development. Maintain confidentiality and operate within safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times. Essential Requirements Hold a CORU approved Social Care Worker qualification and have applied for CORU registration OR hold a relevant third level qualification at degree level i.e. social care, psychology, sociology. Experience of working in a children's residential centre or with children with complex needs in other settings. A working knowledge of the impact of childhood adversity on adolescents. A working knowledge and awareness of HIQA National Standards for Children's Residential Centres. Ability to manage and support teenagers in crisis who present with challenging behaviours. A high standard of written communication. A working knowledge and understanding of Child Protection, and responses to concerns. A working knowledge and understanding of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model.
