Senior Data Scientist (Contract) Location: Dublin (Hybrid 3 days onsite) Duration: Initial 12-month contract The Opportunity My financial services client is looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a product-focused engineering team developing AI and advanced analytics solutions. You'll work across the full data science lifecycle, helping design, build and deploy machine learning models that solve real business problems at scale. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and deploy machine learning and advanced analytics solutions. Build supervised and unsupervised ML models from concept through to production. Work closely with Product, Engineering and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions. Analyse large datasets to generate insights and improve product performance. Develop dashboards and visualisations using Tableau. Drive research into new AI, machine learning and analytical techniques. Lead technical delivery on complex data science initiatives. Mentor junior team members and promote best practices across the team. Ensure high-quality, scalable solutions are delivered on time. Required Experience 5+ years' experience in Data Science or Machine Learning within a product or commercial environment. Strong understanding of machine learning, advanced analytics and statistical modelling. Excellent Python and SQL skills. Experience working with Spark and large-scale data processing. Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and Databricks. Experience with Tableau or similar BI/visualisation tools. Knowledge of Hadoop technologies (Hive, Spark, Impala) is beneficial. Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate technical concepts clearly. Reach out to for more information
