Senior Dietitian Location Co. Limerick Speciality Nursing Home | Older Persons Care Emerald Locums are currently recruiting a Senior Dietitian for a nursing home service based in Co. Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing high-quality nutritional care to residents in a supportive and person-centred environment. The successful candidate will work closely with nursing staff, medical professionals, catering teams, residents, and their families to deliver comprehensive nutritional assessments, dietary interventions, and ongoing support. This role offers the opportunity to lead on nutritional care within the service while working as part of an experienced multidisciplinary team. What's on offer: €40-€50 per hour, depending on experience Flexible contract Supportive multidisciplinary team environment Varied and rewarding caseload Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on residents' health and wellbeing Ongoing professional development opportunities Potential for contract extension Duties: Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments for residents Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans Monitor residents' nutritional status and review dietary interventions as required Provide dietary advice and education to residents, families, and staff Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to optimise resident care Support the management of malnutrition, dysphagia, diabetes, weight management, and other nutrition-related conditions Liaise with catering staff to ensure appropriate therapeutic diets are provided Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and regulatory standards Support service development and contribute to quality improvement initiatives Provide clinical leadership and mentorship where appropriate Requirements: Qualification in Dietetics recognised in Ireland CORU registration Senior-level post-qualification experience as a Dietitian Experience working within older persons, residential care, community, or clinical nutrition settings Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred nutritional care Full driving licence and access to own transport may be required If you meet the above criteria and are interested, please apply with your up-to-date CV.
