Job Title:Senior Environments Manager Job Type: 6-Month Daily Rate Contract (Hybrid) Job Description Our client, a leading organisation within the financial services sector, is seeking an experienced Senior Environments Manager to establish and lead an Environment Management function supporting a large-scale technology transformation programme. This role will be responsible for ensuring the stability, governance, and operational effectiveness of multiple environments across the software delivery lifecycle. Job Responsibilities Take ownership of the end-to-end management of development, test, user acceptance and production environments supporting a complex transformation programme. Develop and implement a consistent Environment Management operating model, including governance, standards, controls and supporting processes. Plan and coordinate environment availability, refresh schedules and usage across multiple delivery teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved. Collaborate with Release Management and technical delivery teams to ensure environments are prepared for deployments, testing activities and production releases. Manage dependencies between cloud platforms, integrated systems and on-premises technologies to ensure reliable environment availability. Establish governance forums, maintain configuration standards and ensure accurate documentation to support operational and audit requirements. Lead the resolution of environment-related issues through proactive monitoring, root cause analysis and the implementation of long-term improvements. Drive the adoption of automation and tooling to improve environment provisioning, validation, monitoring and configuration management. Provide leadership across the Environment Management function, promoting best practice and supporting knowledge sharing across technical teams. Experience Required Minimum of 10 years' experience in Environment Management, Release Management, DevOps, Platform Operations or a closely related discipline. Proven experience managing multiple environments across the full software development lifecycle. Strong experience working with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based infrastructure services. Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 environments and deployment processes. Experience supporting hybrid technology estates incorporating both cloud and on-premises platforms. Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, environment automation and deployment methodologies. Experience working within large, complex and highly regulated enterprise environments. Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities while working effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders and third-party suppliers. Desirable Skills Experience implementing Environment Management governance frameworks and enterprise operating models. Knowledge of infrastructure automation and configuration management tools. Familiarity with modern monitoring, observability and environment validation solutions. Understanding of networking, identity management and enterprise integration patterns. Experience supporting digital transformation or enterprise technology modernisation programmes. Knowledge of regulatory, security and audit requirements within regulated industries. Exposure to Agile, DevOps and IT Service Management best practices. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent third-level qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline. Relevant professional certifications in Microsoft Azure, DevOps, ITIL or related technologies would be advantageous.
