Fehily Timoney and Company (FT) is one of Ireland’s largest Irish‑owned consultants with centres of excellence in Sustainable Infrastructure, Circular Economy & Environment and Energy & Planning. FT provides planning, environmental studies and preliminary planning design to our clients in the renewable energy sector and offers design and contract management services for the construction of infrastructure projects such as roads, bridgeworks, rail, solid waste facilities, renewable energy, drainage, water and wastewater treatment facilities, airports, tunnels and gas pipelines.

FT is recruiting a Senior Project Engineer, with an interest in environmental and civil engineering, to join our Energy and Planning team in the Cork, Dublin or Carlow office. The role will suit candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The successful candidate will join an established company and will have the opportunity to acquire a broad range of professional skills and experiences with support from mentors across several disciplines. This position offers exposure to a number of project types within the company and a clear path for career development.

Responsibilities\n

  • Delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards with the client
  • \n
  • Planning and overseeing CAD documentation for design work, collaborating closely with Project Engineers and Engineering Technicians
  • \n
  • Participating in meetings with clients and other professionals
  • \n
  • Ensuring adherence to our Quality Assurance and Management Systems
  • \n
  • Complying with all relevant health and safety regulations
  • \n
  • Coordinating work effectively with other members of the project team
  • \n
Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Degree in Civil Engineering
  • \n
  • At least 5 years of post‑graduate experience
  • \n
  • Consultancy experience preferred
  • \n
  • Energetic and proactive professional
  • \n
  • Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
  • \n
  • Experience liaising with external stakeholders, clients, subcontractors
  • \n
  • Familiarity with Public Works Contracts is advantageous
  • \n
  • Flexible and collaborative team player
  • \n
  • Able to work independently and efficiently
  • \n
  • Willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings
  • \n
  • Full driving licence required
