You’ll work closely with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to turn ideas into real-world solutions. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we deliver value — from refining requirements to improving how we work as a team. This is a key role in delivering releases that make a difference for our customers. This is a great opportunity to grow into a broader role contributing to the evolution of our Business Analysis practice. Throughout, youll ensure all parts of the solution align with business goals and customer value, seeing the big picture and providing support during all phases of testing.As a Business Analyst, you will lead agile teams/projects from idea to implementation. Your responsibilities include translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements, from high-level vision statements to detailed user stories with acceptance criteria and mock-ups. Youll collaborate with stakeholders to understand the business vision and transform it into defined requirements. Youll establish a strategy/plan for managing the requirements backlog and support the Business Lead/Product Owner in backlog refinement, defining value and sprint planning. Further collaboration with the team will involve writing and elaborating user stories with acceptance criteria and business rules as per the team’s “Definition of Done”. You’ll participate in team activities like stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives, and facilitate the review of user stories during sprint planning, ensuring the team has a common understanding of the user story and acceptance criteria. Additionally, youll assess and manage stakeholder requests to determine if they represent new or modified scope or indicate a defect, updating the backlog as appropriate.About You:
- Degree level or equivalent.
- Scrum Master or Product Owner certification beneficial, and ISEB or IIBA Business Analysis certification beneficial.
- Experience as Business Analyst (5+ years) essential and experience in Agile/Scrum teams (2-3 years) desirable.
- Experience in the energy and/or utility sector beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups.
- Strong customer empathy —advocating for user needs and delivering real value.
- Confident challenging assumptions and influencing stakeholders to align on the best path forward.
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Experience with Agile management tools e.g. JIRA, Confluence, ADO.
- Proficient with Themes, Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, BDD.
- Comfortable using MS Office Suite including Teams and SharePoint.
- Experience of Lean Canvas & Customer Value Proposition beneficial.
