Job Summary

CRSC LTD, located in Cork County, is seeking hardworking and reliable Asphalt General Operatives to join our road surfacing team. Roles include Paver Operator, Roller Operator, Screw men and Skid steer operator. The successful candidates will assist with the laying of asphalt/tarmac using paving machinery and hand tools, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and laying of asphalt/tarmac on roads, car parks, footpaths, and other surfacing projects.
• Work alongside paving machine operators and roller drivers during surfacing operations.
• Rake, level, and compact asphalt as required.
• Operate hand tools and small plant equipment safely and effectively.
• Assist with site setup, traffic management, and site clean‑up.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Perform general labouring duties as required by site supervisors.
• Help maintain machinery, tools, and equipment in good working order.
• Work as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on schedule.

Requirements

• Previous experience in asphalt/tarmac laying or construction work is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Safe Pass certification required.
• Manual Handling certification preferred.
• Full clean driving licence desirable.
