Cyber Operations Engineer (Contract 12 Months) Overview Were seeking an experienced Cyber Operations Engineerwith deep expertise across intrusion testing, threat hunting, and defensive security operations. This role will play a key part in identifying vulnerabilities, strengthening controls, and proactively defending against emerging threats. Key Responsibilities Conductintrusion testing / penetration testingacross infrastructure and applications Performthreat huntingto identify and mitigate active and emerging threats Assess and improvesecurity controls and defensive capabilities Identifyinternal security gapsand recommend remediation strategies Supportincident detection and response activities Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and engineering teams Contribute to continuous improvement of cyber defence frameworks Required Skills & Experience Strong background inpenetration testing / red teaming Proven experience inthreat hunting and detection engineering Solid understanding ofcyber defence strategies and security operations Experience identifying and remediatingsecurity vulnerabilities Familiarity with tools such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability scanners Knowledge of frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or ISO 27001 Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, Power Shell) desirable Nice to Have Certifications such as OSCP, CREST, CISSP, or GIAC Experience in regulated environments (finance, government, etc.) For more information on this role please apply within.
