About the job: The School of Nursing & Midwifery at Queen's University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Nursing: Digital Health AC2/AC3. Please note AC2 grade is a Lecturer at start of Career. AC3 grade is an established Lecturer. The job description and employee specification sets out the duties and criteria for each grade. The successful candidate at AC2/AC3 will undertake research in line with the School's research strategy, which fits within the realm of One Health and Equal Health, to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and to contribute to School administration/outreach activity. Established in 1991, the Queens School of Nursing & Midwifery is a leading centre for nursing and midwifery research and education nationally and internationally. Within the School we have three innovative research themes (Maternal and Child Health; Chronic Illness and Palliative Care; and Education and Practice), which encapsulate lifespan health research from conception to end-of-life. The School provides a range of innovative programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, which prepare nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals for leadership roles in clinical care, teaching, management and research. With approximately 3,500 students, the School has one of the most extensive portfolios of programmes of any nursing and midwifery school in the UK or Ireland. The overall vision of the School is to provide a learning community committed to excellence in teaching, research, scholarship and practice that contributes to local and global efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of society. About the person: The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:Doctoral degree in Nursing, or a related Healthcare subject. (AC2 and AC3 criteria).Current registration status with the Nursing & Midwifery Council as a Registered Nurse or Midwife or possession of the qualifications required for such registration.(AC2 and AC3 criteria). Research experience and profile which complements the research priorities related to nursing, related healthcare:A minimum of 3 years research experience in a relevant healthcare field.(AC2 and AC3 criteria).A publication record in peer reviewed journals /conference papers.(AC2 and AC3 criteria).Experience of developing research methodologies, models, approaches and techniques (AC3 only).Experience of presenting at national and international meetings and conferences (AC3 only).Relevant teaching experience at University level commensurate with stage of career. (AC2 and AC3 criteria).Relevant academic administrative/management experience commensurate with stage of career. (AC2 and AC3 criteria).Ability to design course materials and to plan and organise the delivery and assessment of taught courses in own specialism.(AC2 and AC3 criteria).Ability to advance the teaching and research goals of the School.(AC2 and AC3 criteria).Ability to strengthen the School's national and international networks.(AC2 and AC3 criteria).Ability to negotiate contracts independently or as a leader of a workstream in a larger project.(AC2 and AC3 criteria).
