This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to join a growing organisation at a pivotal stage of its commercial journey. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full sales cycle, generating new business opportunities, developing relationships with senior decision-makers, and closing high-value commercial opportunities. Working closely with the leadership team, this role offers genuine autonomy, strong earning potential, and the opportunity to play a key role in driving the company's continued growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences organisations through proactive prospecting and outbound sales activity
  • Generate qualified meetings through a combination of cold outreach, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, conferences, and marketing-generated leads
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities, taking ownership of the sales process from initial engagement through to contract signature
  • Conduct discovery meetings and needs analysis to understand customer challenges and identify suitable commercial solutions
  • Deliver tailored demonstrations and presentations to scientific, technical, and commercial stakeholders
  • Work closely with internal technical and delivery teams to develop bespoke commercial proposals that address customer requirements
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and successfully close new business opportunities
  • Represent the business at industry conferences, networking events, and customer meetings across the UK and internationally where required

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in a quota-carrying Business Development, Sales Executive, Account Executive, or full-cycle sales role
  • Proven ability to generate new business through proactive prospecting while managing opportunities through to successful close
  • Experience selling technical solutions, SaaS, cloud software, technology services, life sciences or professional services within a B2B environment
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and target-driven with the ability to work independently in a high-growth environment

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience selling into the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences sectors
  • Background in bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology, precision medicine, or related scientific disciplines
  • Experience selling complex technical solutions or professional services
  • Knowledge of AI, cloud platforms, data analytics, or life sciences software solutions
