Quality Coordinator Co. Waterford (onsite) Our client are an international business trading in the primary and secondary protein sectors. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the successful candidate will support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organisation's Quality Management System. Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with the Quality Assurance programme, aligned with internationally recognised standards. Maintain and continuously improve quality systems to meet audit and certification requirements. Travel domestically and internationally to visit suppliers and customers as required. Conduct supplier audits and site visits to assess manufacturing practices, verify compliance with product specifications, and collaborate on the development, validation, and continuous improvement of product specifications and technical documentation. Visit customers to review quality performance, discuss product requirements, and support customer satisfaction. Develop a thorough understanding of business processes and operational procedures to identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency. Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality performance reports. Complete customer quality documentation and questionnaire requests. Manage supplier approval processes in accordance with established quality procedures. Investigate customer complaints promptly and implement appropriate corrective actions. Develop, review, and maintain product specifications. Perform quality and process reviews of commercial documentation and contracts. Conduct internal audits of the Quality Management System and ERP system. Assist with the development, review, and maintenance of quality documentation, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Deliver training to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices. Promote a culture of quality, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organisation. Take a proactive, hands-on approach to quality assurance activities across the business. Qualifications & Experience Experience within the food manufacturing industry and/or a relevant third-level qualification in Food Science, Quality, or a related discipline. Working knowledge of BRCGS standards, HACCP principles, and applicable food legislation. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel as required.
