The Role We're looking for a Team Leader to support the Service Manager in providing professional, operational and practice leadership within our service. This is the first formal leadership role in our service structure and a key feeder role in our 3X Leadership Pipeline with structured development and exposure designed to prepare you for progression to Service Manager. What You'll Do Lead by example Promote the health, wellbeing, safety and rights of Service Users in line with company policies and HIQA standards, demonstrating best practice when providing direct care. Develop your team Supervise, guide and mentor Support Workers, facilitate Key Worker meetings, and actively identify and develop future leaders including preparing your own successor. Support people management Assist the Service Manager with recruitment, onboarding, performance and attendance matters, and take the lead in delivering service-level induction for new starters. Champion quality and compliance Ensure Person-Centred Plans are in place and reviewed, oversee medication management, carry out audits, complete Root Cause Analysis following incidents, and support safeguarding and HIQA compliance processes. Keep operations running Support rostering within budgeted hours, process payroll inputs, maintain the HRIS, and assist with referral assessments, transition planning and discharge processes.
