Senior Cloud Platform Engineer - Daily Rate Contract - Hybrid-Working Model - Excellent NEW Role Our client is looking to hire a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (Contractor) with hands-on experience in AWS infrastructure to help build and support cloud-native environments. In this role, the successful candidate will work as a key contributor within a cloud platform team, focusing on automation, infrastructure as code, and secure delivery pipelines to: collaborate with engineering, security, and operations teams to deliver well-architected solutions aligned with industry best practices. Skills Required: 7+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering, including 3+years of direct experience with AWS. Proven experience designing production-grade cloud infrastructure in regulated environments. Deep understanding of cloud security, networking, identity and access management, and governance within AWS. Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (e.g. , Python, Go, Shell). Experience with continuous integration/delivery pipelines and Git Ops workflows. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Experience with multi-account cloud architecture, landing zones, or control tower setups. Familiarity with zero-trust architecture, data encryption, and key management systems (KMS). Strong proficiency with using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform to build cloud infrastructure solutions and automating cloud deployments Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries. Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., EKS/Kubernetes). Advanced knowledge of networking (firewalls, DNS, Load Balancing, Proxies, etc.) Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Dynatrace, as well as AWS native tools Experience optimizing cost and performance across large-scale cloud environments.
