Duffy Plant Sales & Repairs Ltd. is an expanding plant maintenance and repair specialist, providing servicing and support to some of Ireland's leading hire and engineering companies. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated Construction Plant Fitter to join our team. The Role Working primarily across customer sites in the Laois region, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of heavy and light construction machinery. You'll enjoy a high level of autonomy while working with modern equipment and a supportive management team. Occasional travel outside the local area may be required. Key Responsibilities Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on heavy and light construction equipment. Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance. Carry out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault finding. Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards. Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety procedures. Build positive working relationships with customers through professional service. What We're Looking For Qualified Construction Plant Fitter or HGV Mechanic (minimum Level 6 qualification). Post-apprenticeship experience within the construction plant or heavy equipment industry. Experience working on construction machinery. Experience with brands such as Hitachi, JCB, Mecalac or Manitou would be an advantage, but is not essential. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills (training provided where required). Good communication skills with a flexible, can-do attitude. Full clean driving licence (trailer licence or willingness to obtain one). Basic computer skills are desirable. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience. Company van supplied.
